Detroit's Acoustic Americana Band
Live Music for
Unforgettable Moments
The Thrift Shop Cowboys bring timeless American roots music to weddings, festivals, corporate events, and private parties throughout Michigan.
Who Are The Thrift Shop Cowboys?
We're a Detroit, Michigan–based acoustic Americana band led by longtime collaborators Niko Eklund (vocals, banjo, kazoo) and Warren Liverance (vocals, upright bass, harmonica). Writing partners and bandmates since 1991, we blend timeless American music with playful originality.
Spanning Stephen Foster to Nirvana, Gershwin to Johnny Cash, we reinterpret classics while mixing in our own original songs. Our signature banjo-and-bass sound is warm, roots-driven, and refreshingly unexpected.
Perfect for weddings, festivals, private parties, and corporate events—we deliver music that's easy on the ears, full of character, and guaranteed to leave audiences smiling.
